Aungmingala Terminal handles 7,000 commuters daily

The two highway bus stations facilitate public transport from Yangon to other places, and the Aungmingala highway bus terminal offers service for over 7,000 passengers per day, according to the YRTC.

About 120 bus lines of the Aungmingala highway bus terminal operate 490 express buses, while over 76 bus lines of the Dagon-Ayeya highway bus terminal operate more than 210 express buses for 2,000 passengers daily. The bus lines expand their services during the summer, winter and festival period.

“The bus lines of the Aungmingala highway bus terminal run daily in the rainy season. We also supervise the bus lines whether they run as per their fixed routes, examine the parcels and unmanned parcels, that they are properly licensed and also to ensure the expiration dates. We also notify the bus lines to offer better services and sell the tickets at the normal prices. The Aungmingala highway bus terminal operates for over 7,000 passengers daily, and the Dagon-Ayeya highway bus terminal for over 2,000 passengers,” said YRTC member U Ba Myint.

The Aungmingala highway bus terminal offers services to the upper and lower parts of Myanmar daily, and the Dagon-Ayeya highway bus terminal to the cities in Ayeyawady Region. Those from Ayeyawady Region can go to other regions and states through the Aungmingala highway bus terminal.

YRTC supervises to ensure the systematic bus services, bus routes, proper transport, and no transit system between the zero mile and the Aungmingala highway bus terminal. — Ottha/KTZH
